Sounds like a plan lozz, i will hire a mig welder for a saturday. How about the mk1 cortina sill idea, Has anyone cut one to fit. The sill is rotted from the front wheel arch to just behind the drivers door and a 4" plate running that length will cover it. Will have a look on speedy hires site for hire prices.. :)

Thank you for the offer omega, your a gent!.. I am going to try to find prices for a mk1 cortina sill and cut it to fit.

Followed Lozz,s advice and made a sill out of some scrap!! :wink: building cladding from work and folded the shape on a box&pan folder. Spot welded it in place with my arc welder and it looks tidy, this saturday my lads mate is going to finish it with his mig welder for the MOT. Then a quick grind ,fill and paint and its sorted for at least another year. :)

i must admit thats what i did with my sills, its less hassel. :)
