hi!

Post by flashfloyd »

Yes,hi....very surprised to discover this club after web search.Just bought my car on Sunday and there are a few things need sorting. It's a 406 LX HDi 90 Estate.and has done 288k mileage!!!!!!

Fuel guage-reads full all the time.Is this the sender unit and is it accessible from in car or do you have to drop tank?
Rear wipernot working-could be a fuse?but no handbook to tell which is which.
Help!?

Hi there, welcome aboard :cheesy:

Umm, fuel gauge, could be the sender. It's under a cover beneath the back seat but it's together with the pump, all in one very expensive lump.

Rear wiper, could be the fuse, could be the wiring, could be the motor - the spindle on mine was seized.

Cheers all!
yeah, had a look under seats yesterday and found the sender...it comes with pump too?Sounds expensive, and probably why not fixed by last owner. It'll have to wait till the weekend when I can get to a scrapyard.Need an Owners Manual too as I can't seem to get CD player to work.E-bay?

Thanx to all,and all the people whose past posts I've read...very helpful! So much so that now all my lights work;combination of wrong and missing fuses, bad earths and a blown fog light bulb.Replaced broken tailgate handles, external and int,and today got rear wiper going;original was rusted solid, had to re-wire scrappie's one(had an inline relay?!)but now I can see behind me!Still looking for fuel sender, one wheel trim, and 2 bits of trim for front wings? :?: loving the thing more and more tho'
