Lambda probe?
Lambda seemed fine. The funny thing is that Peugeot Estonia has 2 employees who both have the same problem... Engine runs a bit restless...
On city streets 16L/100km fuel consumption
That's appalling! (=17.655058517mpg) Still, it is a petrol
On a full tank i can drive for 400-430 km. If I've been on the highway then 500km. Peugeot owners manual says city-11l/100km highway-8 or 9L/100km.
And usually people get better mpg that in the book...
headlights are weak @ night IMO
Are they getting the full 12 volts from the battery? Are they going cloudy??
Their getting the 12V. Maybe its me...
windscreen wipers dont work well @ high speeds
Is that when they are working at high speed (as Eoin says, probably the motor) or do they have trouble when the car is going fast? (Weak springs at the bases of the wiper arms)
Wipers pick up air when doing highway speeds. Maybe the springs, might just bee
PS: Sorry, I may have problems writing words correctly
500km????. Thats 312.5 miles. My tank does 800 miles, that is 1280km. I know mine is a diesel but its still not anywhere near right with yours. Sounds like a serious engine problem.
2000 D9 Coupé 2.0 SE EW10J4 Scarlet Red - 5 litres of oil gone in 500 miles!!! Time for a new coupe me thinks

I'm lucky if I hit 300 miles to 70 litres
The V6 sounds soooo good though
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang
I added another 350 miles to the clock over the weekend (trip from Aberdeen to Glasgow and back), which I did on a full tank of petrol.
2002 (D9) Peugeot 406 Coupe SE, 2.2 litre Petrol. Scarlet Red/Rouge Ecarlate/Rosso Scarlatto. Black Leather interior. SOLD
2008 (E60 LCI) BMW 525i M-Sport, 3.0 litre Petrol. Carbonschwarz Metallic. Black Dakota Leather and Myrtlewood interior.
What I remember is when i got the car tested the temp.sensor "told" the ECU that coolant temp is 45*C.
When they measured it by hand then it seemed ok.
(with a tester, set on Ω - electric resistance was somewhere around ~1300Ω, so 90*C)
I'll try to change the lambda sensor, some say that a dirty sensor may not cause a fault code but may increase fuel consumption... Then we will see...
Cause the low MPG thing happened right after the exhaust pipe was broken - then fixed but it may have smoked the sensor
Also as a side-note. I have had my hand full with this guy(pic)(born 03.06.2013)
He was born just after I got out of the military(was there for 8 months).
Happy daddysboy and a car fanatic
