Newbie introduction.

Post by bashbarnard »

Hey guys thought id introduce myself on here. Very active on 306oc so some may know me I'm bash. Currently have a 306 estate that has had a few diffrent engines in, my favorite being the 2.1 conversion I done. So now its time to get a bigger car the natural progression was onto a 406 2.1. Which ill be looking for in the coming months.

Hi & welcome aboard. 8)

Not so many 2.1's about these days, you could always join the 2.2 'club', we're usually quite well-behaved.
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

I've already got a full 2.1 406 setup lying about so if need be ill convert a 1.9. Easily done that way. I did think about the 2.2 but I work with modern motors all day day and have gatherd a hatred for ecus. Also if any one has any info on how to convert a hdi 2.0 or 2,2 to an xud. on the 306s the loom just plugs in change dash clocks and change in tank pickup and it works. because if its easier to get a hdi ill just do that.
