Thats whats bothering me Gingermagic, the price. It does seem a lot for a 12 year old car. I would snap it up at 1500 but dont know what to do now. Guess I can go and have a look and offer them maybe 1500 with a years mot and cambelt and see where they go from there. maybe 1600 tops

Havent seen many with this kind of mileage though or condition.

Unless you really want an auto, I would think again. We've had one or two owners on here that were very disappointed with the fuel consumption.
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

That says it's only been serviced 5 times in 12 years :?

The giffermatic box will definitely need a fluid and filter change straight away (it never gets done). There has been one or two reported problems on here with the auto's not shifting gear properly but they're quite rare so 'fixes' are rare too on here.

The car looks ok but it's nothing that a private sale and some elbow grease can't match.

Just seen this beauty on eBay, it doesn't say anything in the heading but it is a 2.2Hdi Executive - may be a bargain for someone?

I believe this is right up your street, Nath..

( why wasn't this for sale 6 months ago..... :( )

Dont know if I am gonna be able to get down to view this before auction ends so unless there is anyone local feeling very generous who wants to have a look for me then I will have to bid blind and dont know if that is a good idea or not.

Shame really as it is exactly what I am after

Not sure about that, looks a bit tatty to me and seriously lacking any positives in the description.

Something weird on the bonnet at the front?

Tricky as photos are very hard to judge but I don't think that's been treasured by its owner.

THIS ONE on the other hand, what a beaut, and LOOK AT THAT COLOUR:

I emailed the seller and he said the car has no service history, which can be a pain but once you have serviced it then its all good. I would be tempted, give yourself a maximum bid and stick to it - but bear in mind it may need a bit of attention but nothing that the forum folk can't sort out.

Does look tidy, but 2.0 135 bhp? odd.
As it's relatively low mileage it could still be nearly due a cambelt - how long has it taken to cover the 36k since it was done?

I agree the silver 2.2 estate looks pretty unloved. :(
