Peugeot addict...

Post by james306 »

Hey! I thought I would introduce myself!

New to 406's but far from new to Peugeots! Not sure why, but I love them!

Here's a brief list of my Peugeot ownership to date!

P1 306 XTDT

P3 306 HDI

My baby - 205 GTI 1.9

And my cheap sensible runaround - 406 HDI 110 (although I have practically no photos of it)

I thought I would join on here as I'm having a few issues with the 406 and could do with some club knowledge on!

Cheers guys!

Hello!

Liking the 205 there, forgive me but that's a big old trailer to be towing with the 406? I know there's all kinds of rules with weights/sizes etc have you checked that yours is all ok?

It was a trailer I borrowed from someone and it was pretty close to the limit, it was only the fact the 205 weights so little that it was legal! Thanks for the heads up though, I went through the same thoughts when I went to pick up the trailer 8)

Ah that's ok, I thought you'd maybe been pulling bigger stuff with it as clearly the trailer is big enough for and estate car or summat. To be fair that sized trailer is normally seen behind a transhit-sized van etc.

Welcome aboard mate,
Nice colour choice for the 406, looks a bit like mine but probably has less dents and considerably cleaner

My first Peugeot was a 404 diesel! I was very impressed with it for the time, very comfortable seats and a superb column gear change. Had a 405 estate some years ago now have a 406 Hdi estate very impressed. I think the PSA diesels are the best of the bunch, I have run them in Citroens for many years.

I used to reckon the 405 estate was the best secondhand value car on the market, I reckon its the 406 now - the 306 is very good as well of course. :D
