Newbie

Post by 1drivelikeawoman »

Hi everyone, I had never owned a french car until...... I was stuck for a vehicle and placed a search on dumbtree which was (diesel, estate, towbar.) and the result was my first .... A 405 1.9 GLX td, then I got a 206 s sw 1.4 HDI which I wrapped up for Christmas. I now own a 2.2 (136) hdi executive, a little tatty in places but very comfortable, I love the leather interior as I have a Jack Russell that sheds hair like a Christmas tree sheds needles. I have been reading various topic on here and I know that I have a lot of knowledgeable persons ready to help with any questions I may have, I have one or two already.
I live in Poole Dorset, and bought this particular model as a tow car.

Regards to all

Rob.

Welcome :cheesy:

The 2.2 HDis are great engines, several fans of them on here and a lot of combined knowledge. So post away with your questions!

Hi Gingermagic, I have read a few of your replies to posts. I took a note of the key service in Winton as I only received on key with the car today.

HI Rob and welcome aboard. 8)

....and may I compliment you on your excellent taste?
My two cavaliers shed the odd dog hair too, I control the situation with a dog guard and a deep plastic load compartment liner.
As jonsowman and gingermagic have said, there's a few of us 2.2 owners and plenty of information / assistance available for the asking.

Post some pictures when you can.
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)

2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)

I believe I have injector issues, as when I first start her she smokes (blue) then it disappears after a couple mins, accompanied by the symptoms of missing. Once shes warmed she goes well.

gonna have to get it sorted though :D
