think it choose me to be honest, I was clocking up stupid mileage in a 20 year old mondeo £50 a week in fuel to do 200 miles, hunted for a 307 but nothing I found was faultless. Drove into car sales place as last ditch to find replacement there the 406s with loads of main dealer history, full test and just Peugeot fleet and one private owner, the deal was struck. I'll sort pic as theyre over on my phone

Hi & welcome aboard. 8)

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised once you get to know the 406.

Some more details and a pic or two would be welcome when you get the chance.
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

Hi, welcome.

Thats a good car you've got there - mileage isn't really an issue if you have decent service history 8)

Hope it serves you well.

Hello and welcome! 200k is really no issue at all for these cars, had two of them at 230k and 210k, both absolute fine 8)

Thanks for the welcome, good to know that mileage is nothing to worry about, most of the niggles have now been sorted biggest being a bottom balljoint that unscrewed itself out of its housing thus popped shaft out of box and damage to the wing

Welcome Ste, good choice on the 406 estate, I'm sure you'll come to love their reliability and comfort, I have the older 2.1 litre 12 valve diesel with 305 K on the clock and it just keeps going and going.
You'll find that if you drive them carefully you can get 50 mpg no problem, I've had over 60mpg on long motorway runs.
