Looks really nice, I bet you are well pleased with the result. Its a very inspirational image and I am surprised how glossy the car is now. Good job.

My Poorboys Black Hole came in the post today, coincidence, and I'll be following in your footsteps with the same products ( I'll use Bouncers wheel wax though )

Wow!

I'm actually behind now and lacking knowledge with these products. It didn't sound like you actually 'polished' the paintwork before waxing? also if you're having as hard time buffing the wax off then it would benefit from the paintwork being clay barred first it makes all the other treatments really easy to apply; without the clay the products get 'snagged' on all the raised bumps stuck on the surface. The wheel wax looks good, the brake dust won't stick to it I suppose?

Total spent (not fuel) in the first 9 months: £5,744. Car cost £4200, was 6 years old, and has since covered 12k miles.

Total spent (not fuel) on 406 in it's first 9 months: £5,830. Car cost £5k, was 3 years old, and had since covered 13k miles.

Inflation makes £5k in 2005 into £6.5k today.

So I reckonI'm not doing so badly.

The flywheel will soon change that

Think I've found somehwere to do a remap

So that just leaves the cat and DPF. I want to get a spare to bash out and keep the original one just in case. However, typically, the 2.2 DPF is a different shape to the 2.0, and the flexi-section leaves the cat at a different angle

Current: 407 2.2 HDi 170 & C6 2.7 HDi.
Former: 406 1.9 TD; 406 HDi 90; 407 2.2 160; 307cc 180; 508 HDi 140.

Is your dpf canister the same as the 406? Maybe we can come to an arrangement when my old car becomes a donor car...
