DAKICAFELNICA

Post by dakicafelnica »

Sorry for bad English.
Can anyone tell me how to increase the engine power?
But without turbo
What modifications can I do to the engine to reinforce it?

Welcome

Which engine?

Model year, fuel, and capacity/model would be useful :)
Remember - it only takes a few inches of water to drown a 406 don't make the same mistake I made! The V6 Exec is no more.

And in which case we should suggest signing up to the coupe club as well.

Welcome to the forum mate,or should i say....druže :cheesy:

Well, since it is a non turbo engine,it is more difficult to uprate the engine power.
Better exhaust system, remap, enhanced air system, quickshifter etc makes the car faster, altought not much,at least in this case.

Ako ti jos nesto nije jasno, slobodno pitaj, ekipa je dobra, dobar pug.

Hola! Dobro došli :cheesy: I suspect that if you're looking for a large increase of power from your engine you are possibly in the wrong place - member mjb has in his signature something I said a while back - I think this forum is about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving them more reason to go bang. This is not something we intended to do, it's just the way things have turned out. Another problem is that this forum is largely based in the UK where cars are cheap, so if someone wants a lot more power from their 2.0 406 then it is much cheaper to sell it and buy a 2.2 or a V6 than to mess with it.

It may be better for you to look at forums for other Peugeots which are unavailable with larger engines - npr 306 http://306oc.co.uk/forum/

Not that we are trying to get rid of you, we would be interested to see any results you have. Also, if you didn't do it already you should join the 406 coupé club - http://www.406coupeclub.org

Googling the EW10J4 (RFR) it seems that there is much you can do to it, it just depends how much money you have to spend...

You might find these interesting:

I hope that helps

If you peruse the threads in the coupe forum you should find quite a detailed "How To" guide showing how to fit the inlet manifold from a 306 GTi-6. Think it requires a remap to get the best out of the modifications, but it's probably one of the most useful mods you can do to the later type 2.0 engine.

I agree with waue

Different inlet manifold shouid give some improvement,

Biggest gains wouid be gained from uprated camshaft kit, that's the root I took with the 306
