Hi Chris,

Sorry to hear of your problems. Do post on here, there's lots of collective experience with the DW12 engine. However, also register and post on the 406 Coupe Club since there's also a lot on there: http://www.406coupeclub.org/PHPBB3/

Beautiful car 8)

Edit: I recognise that car from my Autotrader trawling! The dink in the o/s wing gave it away. It's a common colour so Ade the Coupe breaker (ade1122 on eBay) will almost certainly be able to get a replacement panel for you. Only 98k on the clock (barely run in) and the interior looks spotless.

Hi Chris & welcome to the forum. 8)

Your coupe looks really nice. I'm sure we can work through the issues with you.
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

That dent in the wing looks familiar - looked a one like that which had had a new turbo fitted.

I looked at the car - started it up and walked away. The door cards were loose and there was a nice array of faults popping up on the MFD.

Might not be the same one, but you never know.

As mentioned above sign up on the coupe club - lots of good info there on the tractors.
Remember - it only takes a few inches of water to drown a 406 don't make the same mistake I made! The V6 Exec is no more.

I'm sure I saw that advertised too.
So since we've all been watching it being sold, it only feels right that we get to watch you fix it up

Anyway, definitely get signed up at the coupe club; they're brilliant.

Hmm, maybe that's a bit premature...
You certainly seem to have got more (or should that be less) than you bargained for, but I wouldn't give up hope just yet

Don't worry Chris, with the amount of experience with the Coupe on here and the Coupe Club, everything will get sorted soon and probably at not too much expense. Then you can enjoy the car 8)

Do you mind me asking how much you paid?

I think im starting to get to grips with what some of the problems are and how to fix them but i got it out of limp mode briefly today and its definitely as fast as it should be and the turbo noise is getting louder so Im praying Ive not popped it but ill find out once Ive got a few more faults sorted.

I paid £1550 for it.
