i people just joined looking for some help witha seat ecu mines blown it an exec car with full electric control and heated seats can i just replace the ecu with another one or does it have to be specific to the car car leaked on rear door rubber in heavy rain and turned ecu into a submarine lol

Hello. 8913 JS, common across all 406s and, er, nothing else (not even Citroen)

You might want to sort the leak out first...

cheer steve have dreid it got abnother ecu for the seat and it still aint working properly seat goes up and down but won go back and forwarsd and the back of the seat dont move either any ideas would be helpfull cheers

You may find that the motors on the seat itself are knackered as well, or it could be a wiring short. Not 100% sure how to test the seat motors - something like disconnecting the wiring and then passing 12V to it might make the motors move? If you can verify the motors move, then you know it's going to be a wiring issue (bad earth, possibly?)

That sounds like a plan to me, the motors themselves are on the orange 10-way connector, each motor's feed arranged one above the other IIRC, get some fly leads in there and see if the motors also took offence to the swimming lesson...

so in theory if i can get power to the mototrs by fly leads would i be able to ajust the seat the way as a temp measure just so i can use the car cos as it is no one can get in the seat lol
