Sorry if I'm teaching my grandmother to suck eggs, but is MaxClients < RamInMachine / SizeOfAnApacheProcess ?

I saved a lot of memory on an apache/php site by using fastCGI.
It worked because my site was mostly static content, so removing php from the apache process made apache much smaller meaning that more apache processes could run and so serve more requests.

I use fastCGI on a webserver at work and it 'should' be setup on my host but i need to delve into things a bit more, thanks for the link though

Happens to me too, I was trying to edit the paint page with some more infos taken from here:

Be careful with that page, it can be somewhat misleading concerning 406 paint codes. I used it to get some codes to start the page off with, but then found conflicting information from other sources (including 406 owners on these forums!) Could be the info on the site is wrong, but also Peugeot's paint codes never were consistent, which doesn't help.

Peugeot never is consistent, so...

I hope I'll be able to cooperate with the wiki more in the next weeks. All my pages will need grammar checking from some of you guys tho, my English is less than sufficient for writing.

EDIT: for example my Obsidian black is listed perlascent on the wiki, but not on there

Looks like it's got full of spam again

However, hopefully it's easy to remove directly from the database because it looks like all of the spam pages are uncategorised so they're easy to find.

I've removed the spam but think i deleted an actual page in the process as it got caught in the filter when i was checking after, think it was the TPS page you made, can't see a way for me to retrieve it

Thought I'd give it another go today & still can't do anything on there. When I do the YOURUSERNAME bit (where you use your own username to create a page) I just get a blank page come up stating:

There is currently no text in this page. You can search for this page title in other pages, or search the related logs.

With no way of adding anything to it.

Really stupid question time, so forgive me for asking depending on your answer!!

Cheers for that. Managed to get that far now, but not sure how to put pictures on. Also, have saved a bit of text on the page, but it still doesn't appear in the members cars list.

Surely it isn't as difficult as I'm making it seem as plenty of others have managed ok?

Edit: Have just found the bit where you upload files. Am I right in guessing that I have to upload all pictures first (from my computer & not Photobucket or similar) & then I can use them? If I can use Photobucket, it'll be much easier as all my photos are over 2MB & it would take forever & a day to go through all of them to get them below 2MB as I was going to use the Wiki page to show the various stages of how my car got to its current spec.

Just had a fun morning, not sure who still uses the Wiki but have cleaned out 10000 spam users, 8000 pages and some other rubbish, now requires email authentication on user setup and one authenticated i need to manually accept, if this doesn't stop spam i do not know what will, i've had to recreate the main page 5 times today already!
