I like the wiki, but the spam is really depressing.
Anything I can do to help?

I'm just trying to find ways to stop it but so far nothing has helped, captcha on the account creation didn't stop it, even with me changing the user account creation to lock it down i can see accounts are still being created but i don't know how!

Just locked down some more stuff, i'll check on it in a few hours to see if anymore account have appeared

I recreated the home page at some point last week; I'd found that since it was last manually updated, it'd been spam-updated HUNDREDS of times.

Sad fucks, nobody wants your knock-off viagra - stop flogging it on car Wiki pages!

It's was getting respammed within 10 minutes of me fixing it!

Just had a fun morning, not sure who still uses the Wiki but have cleaned out 10000 spam users, 8000 pages and some other rubbish, now requires email authentication on user setup and one authenticated i need to manually accept, if this doesn't stop spam i do not know what will, i've had to recreate the main page 5 times today already!

Ok, no new 'phantom' users have been created in the last few hours so i have removed the protection from the main page again, i do have a backup of this just incase something happens again

24 hours since the updates and no new spam pages or users!

Just cleaned out more pages that remained, just need to clear another few tables then hopefully its all fine
