Seeing that I posted it from my phone I was just amazed it appeared at all and missed the glaring spelling mistake. I will of course be whipping myself daily as a penance for the next week.steve_earwig wrote:[spelling nazi]Err, that's French for fact [/spelling nazi]Busman wrote:fait

Re: How many forum users still actually drive a 406
After I lost my engine under-tray things were never the same, sure we tried to stay together but all I got was the usual slurs, rumours and innuendos......people didn't understand......I sent her off in the end with a Frenchman
I'd have another 406 but it'd have to be perfect and have everything I know about sorted properly....re-mounted, re-bushed, re-bearing'd, de-dented, de-rusted, re-air con'd.....this then would be a stumbling block I think
Doggy - I bet it's a laugh when you hoon past all these Audi's and such in your unassuming motor

Not had one for a couple of years now.
I do miss it, but I don't miss crawling under the car every 5 minutes.

Wow.
Well the 2.2 170 maps to 215. Makes you wonder how much of that 136 --> 170 is hardware and how much is software.

Re: How many forum users still actually drive a 406
Mmmmm - 215bhp sounds good but I'm quite happy with ' only ' 200bhp at the moment.....
Have upset the odd Audi, V6 Mondeo and a Golf GTtdi, probably as my car looks very slow and quite unassuming, well it is a diesel 406 estate, until you give it a little ' encouragement '
Brakes are sh*t though so I have had many a brown trouser moment.... Why are Brembos so expensive
