II's easy enough to pinch them from elsewhere. I guess we do have a pretty poor range compared to other forums, plus there's some that seldom get used anyway, maybe we could vote on them as well...

I think we have a pretty good range compared to elsewhere.

I like ours because it's farily clear what each of them means, and they're big enough to see easily, and there isn't too many.

You wanna see the Volvo Forum emoticons - they are so bad that you can use any, ever  (it's probably why so many arguments break out there).

It might not be straightforward to remove smilies: what do you do with posts where they're used?

I suppose you can replace :?: and :!: in all posts with '?' resp. '!'.

 seems to duplicate :(
:frown: looks more :( than "frown"

I know :arrowu: is used quite frequently, but you could replace:
:arrowu: with ^^
:arrowl: with <<
:arrowd: with VV
 with >>

Sorry I meant can't. Nice Frod emoticon

rwb - you're right, removing them would mess up the archives :| some forums have a select few like we've got and then another menu with 'more' emoticons - I don't know if this is possible here?

TBH I haven's got a clue how to change them, I know Teamy likes a tinker in the bowels of the forum, perhaps he can have a look? :supafrisk:

You're right about the Volvoforum ones Welly, they're awful. It's virtually impossible to find suitable ones.

not sure what the admin ucp is like on here but everything else seems like the old football forum i used to run and on there we just added the extra smilies and it created another page for them.
