I've tried to persuade myself I like them - but it's not working.
To be honest I didn't like them when they first came out, but guess i'm mellowing
Not overly keen still but................
Late 406 estates attract to much of a premium in my book
and a latter 407 sw can be had for similar money
and the roof is a real seller for me
1999 D8.5 HDi GLX - Sold :(

2007 Mondingo Zetec - I seek forgiveness :( Bring back my 406

Unfortunately this doesn't apply to my Coupé, which has a solid roof, but to the Golf...

Sunroofs are great for getting all the heat out quickly on a hot day before the AC comes and makes it good

When somewhere quiet/nice on a hot day it's also advantageous to leave the sunroof tilted open (and the ultrasonic alarm sensors disabled "dog mode" of course) when you leave the car.
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

you can do birdwatching from the sunroof. And women seem to like the sunroof in the back of limos especially on hen nights, i recall seeing a limo pass and seeing more than just that.
