Re: What trim level have you got
LX for me, wasn't interested in trim level, just wanted a half decent 1.9TD for veg oil use.
My other car was a GTX, loved the interior, was like sitting in an armchair way too comfy.

I hate to say it, but think the gtx seats I ripped out, were actually more comfy than the leathers, but ah wellGeordieBoy wrote:My other car was a GTX, loved the interior, was like sitting in an armchair way too comfy.

Re: What trim level have you got
After a 2000 mile round trip to Biarritz a few years back in a Xsara HDi 90 LX estate, with wife, teenage son & obligatory friend, plus two dogs, I was determined that next car had to have:
Cruise
Armrests
Enough elbow room
Enough oomph & sound deadening to hold 130 kph for hours, effortlessly.
So, decided on 406 2.2 HDi exec or GTX estate, would have taken either, but there's more execs about, so found this one first.
Results:
All boxes ticked.
Been too busy to go again.

Re: What trim level have you got
I was out looking a 406, i seen a neighbour had one and got a lift home one day in it and must say i did covet my neighbours car, the seller for me was the way the puddle ligths lit up the cream leather. So when searching on autotrader i had executive typed in and just waited for the lowest miles.

My D8 (LX) had adjustable lumbar support. In the D9 they took it out and put an airbag in.jamjar1383 wrote:d9 rapier howerver i miss my d8 glx im sure the seats were better than these
Cloth seats seem to last better -- leather seats look tatty when they get worn. And I'm not convinced that leather seats are more comfortable.
Current: 407 2.2 HDi 170 & C6 2.7 HDi.
Former: 406 1.9 TD; 406 HDi 90; 407 2.2 160; 307cc 180; 508 HDi 140.

My new ones are - the bolsters on the base & backrest are much chunkier & hold you in place better.

Re: What trim level have you got
Leather are definatley very comfortable, it can harden and get uncomfortable but my seats get treated and cleaned so often they are very nice to touch, with cream they show up the dirt very easy but i clean the seats at least every week so they dont look tatty at all, nothing looks worse than dirty cream seats.

Re: What trim level have you got
I put modified as I've got an Executive but have made a few OEM+ upgrades to the interior along with a few other interior mods.
