Did yours come with leather seats from factory, or just cloth? If it came with cloth, have you put in a leather interior since?

I gather that:

cloth seats = S
leather seats = SE
part-leather seats = Silver & Black Special Edition
leather-seats with Pininfarina stamped into them = Settant'anni Special Edition

Also, ServiceBox will tell you an SE is "TRIM LEVEL: NON STANDARD MEDIUM" on the "Characteristics" page when you look up your cars' VIN. No idea what an S would show.

Thing is, with the Coupe, it doesn't look like there are any badges anywhere on it to show the trim level, and on the 406 saloon/estate (except the HDi) there's nothing on them to show the type of engine or engine capacity.

I quite like the idea of putting a very small chrome "2.2" badge on the wings, like how the saloons and estates show their trim level or "V6" or "HDi" badges. Nothing on the boot lid though.

I think the hdi on the bumper of my car is like the typical page we all wrote on when in school we didnt want to go onto the next line and just made the writing really small, thats what peugeot did with hdi.
I like the way i have executive on my wings.

Not all Coupés had specified trim levels. The ES9J4 V6 D9s at least only came in one trim level - top - so they didn't bother calling them anything.

I believe the only options available on them were satnav, variable suspension and the sunroof - everything else was standard.

Oh, OK, cool. I guess it's a bit like the V6 saloons/estates - they were essentially all top trim, weren't they? Basically an executive, but with a shiny little "V6" badge in place of the "Executive" badge on the wings, plus a honking great V6 under the bonnet?

Out of curiosity, what does ServiceBox say about your Coupe's trim level?

d9 hdi 90 rapier estate

"Understeer" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"Oversteer" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"Horsepower" is how fast you hit the fence.
"Torque" is how far you take the fence with you.

GLX, which seems surprisingly uncommon here.
I thought there'd be loads of LX ones too, like my first 406.

You think you're an imposter Jon? My imposter spec is GT :D
