Vauxhall Warranty

Does anyone think this new warranty is a good idea, or has anyone seen past the bright lights to revel plenty of terms and conditions. Or can you simply not stand the sight of a Vauxhall.

The only Vauxhall I would consider is Insignia (Buick Regal in US ) but would never buy a new car. Unless I win some lottery.

And i suppose if you did win the lottery your not going to head straight for a vauxhall showroom. Ive been in an insignia its all right but that was a demonstrater model at the motorshow so it was fully loaded which in the real world most vauxhalls arent and the mondeo looks better, so does the c5

By the way, the small print says, it's only valid for 100,000 miles. Lifetime my arse.

Thats what im on about, and its only applicable on the 1st owner, and it needs to be serviced at vauxhalls dealers.

Hyundai do a 5 year unlimited mileage warranty, while Kia now do a 7 year unlimited mileage warranty.

If warranty was the biggest factor when buying a car, most people would probably plump for one of those. Kias, whilst exceptionally bland, are starting to improve in quality over the past couple of years too.

I know but 7 years of kia ownership thats the catch. Toyota which does make half decent cars has brought out a 5 year warrany, it even covers the braking system. And fiat do 5 years on i think the punto or panda.

That's because we have an interest in what we drive. For somebody that just wants reliable transport - an a to b car - & for whom the warranty would be a large factor in their choice, that Kia warranty would be hard to ignore. Especially considering their initial price too.

Surely there must be a time limit in addition to the 100k mileage limit? otherwise old-man low-miler could buy an Astra and have them fix everything for 15+ years

Monara is VXR8 or something now aint it? I've owned many Vauxhalls, 3 Astra's and 2 Vectra B's. Quite liked all 5 tbh.
Dont like the new shaped cars tho. VXR8 is only VX I would buy new now.
