abs light on

Post by psm406hdi »

Recently my abs light comes on when I go above/around 60-70mph . I have cleaned the front sensors but no change , any ideas before I have to spend the christmas money at the main stealers?

have you checked the top up level for the brakes? it could be air in the system too. are your brakes spongey / solid? any work been done on the brakes lately?

Check the ABS rings on the front driveshafts (CV joints) for cracks or breakage.

the brake fluid low warning does come on when the hand brake is on even though the fluid level is ok , I might have to check the rings , are they expensive ? and are they easy to fit?

Mine used to say ABS fault on the display.

A new handbrake switch cured it! :)

Surely the handbrake switch cured the brake fluid warning light and not the ABS?

ABS has nothing to do with the handbrake switch.
