Rear Suspension Question

Ok, so the wife's 406 has a bit of a sound from the rear of the car. Thought it was a wheel bearing but seems to be the bar that goes from the lower end of the balljoint to the underside of the car - near the petrol tank. The wheel hub has slight side to side play but its not the bearing.

Not sure what this is called - from another thread these seem to be the options:

"anti roll bar bushes, horizontal link bars, vertical swivel pin bushes, front to rear swing arm link bushes"

For me - Id guess horizontal link bars. Anyone have any pics and know where I can buy a replacement?

This seems to be a similar look. Stolen image from ebay for a slightly newer item:

The horizontal link rod (track control arm) has a ball joint at one end and a bolt hole with bushes at the other end, similar to the ones in the picture.

You will get play in this if you jack up the car and try to move the wheel side to side or up and down, get someone to move the wheel whilst you look with a torch.

If it turns out to be the horizontal link bar (track control arm), mark the inner bolt so that it goes back in the same position as it came out.

There are horizontal link rods(track control arms) that have a bush in the inner end and there are vertical link rods that have ball joints on both ends, these are fitted at the rear of the suspension arm and are plastic, about 7inches long and about an inch wide.

The horizontal link rods are metal and have a thin rod with a ball joint at one end and a bush at the other.
