handbrake on warning message

Most of you will know that if the handright is pulled on whilst the vehicle is moving a message will apear on the LCD screen stating HANDBRAKE ON as well as the icon appearing on the speedo area. Well i have the car in the garage yesterday getting the speedo cable tightened underneath the car, but when i started the car up on leaving the garage before i went to move the message came up on the screen for a second and went off again, however on checking the handbrake today i noticed the LCD warning i not coming up now and i suspect the cable has been pulled or moved slightly when adjusting the speedo cable , does anyone know where i can find the cable under the car or am i best just to take the car back to the garage and get them to sort it as it was fine before it went in.
