Teamster gave me a link for checking engine codes (this was for the 2L turbo 8V & 16V) but the data conection on the link is different to the one on my car ( 97, 2.1td) so I don't know which pins to use,
anyone got more info on this ?
Which pins ?
Are the codes the same or not ?
Please help as it's reving up and down on tickover again.

It's not the EGR I blocked that off already, you can do it when in the car, just remove the inlet manifold and hammer a 10p into the EGR inlet pipe in the manifold it's self, will only take about 20 mins to do.

I have found that without the A/C on the revs sit at 1000 to 1100rpm most of the time but will drop to 800 then go up to 1300rpm at times,
but with the A/C on the revs are much more stable and sit at 900rpm, they do fluctuate a bit but not as much.
I think it's an electrics issue so I've disconected the battery tonight to reset the ECU and will see what it's like in the morning.
I must add it's running on my home brewed biodiesel again.
