I've been wanting to know this for years (I really wanted it doing on my tubby!) but can one of our recent additions to the forum possibly tell us how to go about finding a localish company with injector cleaning facilities?

Believe it or not, injector cleaning on a petrol engined car is very simple.
Provided you can get at the injectors easy enough, they are usually only held in by a clip and a wiring connector, there will be some sort of rail that they fasten onto.
Once you have them out, (they just pull out of the head from their rubber seal) you can only clean up the nozzle area, this is good enough usually.
In the past, I have done this and pumped injection cleaner into a new filter or in the fuel pipe that goes to the injectors using a hand primer like the diesels have.
I do quite a few Peugeot 206's with injector faults, I pull them out, wash them off, then refit them, mixing up where they fit, ie, 1to4,4to1, 2to3,3to2.Works a treat every time.
