Cold feet

Post by JimH240 »

X reg Rapier HDi 90. Heater temp works ok so gets up to temp fine but i can't seem to get actual heat to foot area. Only way is to set control to feet only, close all face vents and whack fan upto Maximum. Then I get a modest amount coming through.

Can a vent be blocked or a flap locked up or something?

Yep, or a conduit's fallen off. Other than that, I've not had my heater in bits (yet) so I'm not sure if there's a place to look but I'd hazzard a guess or two. Do you have twisty roundies or pushy buttons? If it's manual controls what usually happens is the clip holding the outer cable comes off, if it's push button then what normally seems to happen is the gears strip off the motor - are you sure you want warm feet?

Thanks.
I will have a look under the console and see if all connected up properly.
