Has anyone changed the rear anti rollbar bushes on a D8 estate? Ive looked at em and theyre well cracked up so mulling over an attempt to change em over. I was thinking of trying to upgrade them too but Powerflex dont do them
Sooo ... any real difficulties in doing them? I have done drop links and the connecting links with no problems but the bolt tucked under the fuel filling hose does look rusted and awkward so any tips/heads up on changing them would be appreciated, as would any suppliers of better bushes

i did this on my saloon as i had the same issues, but i ended up lowering the fuel tank to get access to the OS clamp bolts, and use lots of WD40 i sheard one of mine off

How difficult/dangerous is it to lower the fuel tank in the middle of the street? I want to get at the arse end of my centre seatbelt mounting which is just turning (not loosening) from inside, and I suspect it'd be around this sort of area

It shouldn't be that difficult, just make sure the tank is nearly empty so you don't have too much weight to contend with!
I had to remove the fuel filler pipe to do the bushes;I didn't actually drop the tank down, there is just enough room once it's off.

Yep.... just looked at mine. The bushes are reeally flakey. Passenger side looks ok to do but driver side..... fuel filler in the way !!! Do i just need to unclamp the fiiler hose from the tank or do I need to drop the tank?
Ps does anyone know the size of antiroll bar bish need for rear in mm. Ta

Yep, just unclamp the filler hose (& I think one of the breather hoses from memory)

cheers..... did one side today (not difficult really) gonna do the other side tommorrow. ANy ideas what might be causing the knocking noise at rear if this doesnt fix ??? knock from rear whn going over bumps.
Could be top links or drop links. Also check condition of suspension springs & the top rubber bushes.

Did mine yesturday, well did the n/s and was pretty straight forward, however when tightening it up i sheared the bolt? decided not to do te other side until this was sorted lol . I looked on service box and can see its a screw bolt which is threaded on both ends (no. 70). I take it I just get whats left of the old one out and get a new one from the stealers and screw this in with a bit of loctite?
I went to my local peugeot dealers 1st, but they didnt have them in stock and would take them 4 days to get them in. They wanted £16 sumfin, so went to my usual parts shop and although they had none in stock, they got genuine peugeot parts ones in the next day for £12.
