Just won this for my car.

New one from Peugeot dealer is £132+vat :cheesy:

It hasn't gone yet on mine but was looking a bit sorry for itself when I changed the centre section last year.

Shirley you jest :cheesy:

Couldn't get a pattern exhaust for that price, and they're called 13 month exhausts for very good reason.

They come up every so often the service kits, I always use genuine oil,air and fuel filters. I've seen some dodgy pattern parts before now so don't risk it anymore just to save a couple of quid.

Just need a nice sunny weekend, I've got some fresh gearbox oil too, should keep me busy.

Just bought a rear box for my D8

Product/s Price: £22.20

Postage: £8.95

VAT: £5.45

Grand Total: £36.60

From here http://www.onlineautomotive.co.uk

Spot on, my old box kept banging against the tow bar support, despite a bit of re-alignment & grinding here and there.
Now no probs. Well pleased.

Funny isn't it how some 'ebayers' have collected all these genuine parts over the years.

It's lucky that ebay is there really, otherwise how would they sell them on? it's a good job that these people don't mind taking a hit on their own original purchase price too. Perhaps the sellers are very generous, charitible even.

When I had my Honda, I mistakenly asked the Parts counter guy for 16 oil filters, heck I only just got them in my carrier bag. I then forgot, in my haste, to query why he gave me so many filters and I just paid and left.

A few weeks later I wondered what to do with all these genuine Honda filters. A friend said "why don't you put them on ebay!" I laughed and said I don't have an ebay account.

I guess I will be stuck with them now, afterall the dealer would never ever take them back for credit, would they now

I am offering 1000 points to the first person who understands what I'm really on about here and puts it back into their reply.

I hope you aren't implying that people would steal things purely to put on eBay  that would be dishonest. (alot of the genuine bits and bobs probably are)

The exhaust is coming from a Peugeot Dealer in Crewe, they're shifting old stock (who in their right mind would pay £150+ fitting for a back box  )

Thats not a bad buy!

Gotta get a new one and a cat for my 2.0 D8 - Probably go aftermarket for the cat as the Peugeot OEM ones are so freakin expensive!!! Not going to De-Cat, it's illegal and also I dont like the smell of petrol wafting into the cabin when you are idling at a set of traffic lights...like my mates 205! :P

Imagine, say, a main dealer was servicing your car and a rather disgruntled mechanic decided NOT to fit your oil filter, the pollen and the air filter. These items have left their stock, and have been paid for by you. The mechanic could, say, take said items home and sell them, say, on ebay.

This would be disgracefull behavior of course and this example is purely for illustraion purposes as I'm sure this can't really happen in real life, can it?
