75w 80w Gearbox oil

Post by maglite »

Ok I'm gonna be servicing the D9 in a few days. I've got myself some 0w 40 engine oil and some new red coolant. What I am also going to do is drain out the old gearbox oil and put 2 litres of new oil in. Now Peugeot recommend Esso or Total 75w 80w gearbox oil. I have been to 2 Esso and 2 Total petrol stations. I can't find anybody selling the Esso or Total branded oil.

Does anyone know where I could get this? :?:

After the bad experience I had with the D8 gearbox oil running low, I'm always paranoid about that happening to my nice d9 :|

you can get the total 75w80 from pug in 2 litre bottles
no idea how much it costs though, i know this is the only you can get it
make sure you go for about an hours drive before hand to get the gear oil nice and hot, and when it comes to refilling the gearbox, jack up the back of the car otherwise the level will be all wrong

i think 0w40 is a bit too thin for the old 1.9, i would go for mobil one diesel 5w40 or gtd magnatec 5w40
