Hey guys, my 2003 Peugeot 406 1.8i automatic AL4 transmission suddenly started slipping hurrendously. When i start it in the morning, it only engages 1st gear, on the second i only get revving (especially with a slight uphill to reach the highway). After several kilometers, 1st and second gears engage fine but the third gear slips no matter what. I find it kinda strange to get such a problem, like why 1st and second slip after the cold start only?
I changed the fluid but got no positive results. I didn't change the filter though, and my mechanic said that my transmission shouldn't have a filter. As far as I know the AL4 should have a filter, so either i am wrong or my mechanic doesn't deserve to even hold a screwdriver.
Any help from you guys would be highly appreciated
