Finished the Twingo today...mot Monday at 11am.
The 406 is proving difficult to fix...going back to Yorkshire with a new fuel pressure sensor...if that doesn't fix it then it will be terminal as I've run out of patience with it.

Well done with the Twingo John.
'Our' 307 is going well, original engine had a shredded cambelt in the end.
Fingers crossed for the HPi, be a shame to lose such a striking example.
Have you considered turning it into an 'ordinary' 2.0 petrol?

Re: Non-406 1.6 TU series engine problem
Thanks, glad the 307 is doing well
Good news on the HPi I went over to my brothers again today with a new fuel pressure sensor...fitted the sensor and the car started first time and idled lovely and smooth...took the car round the block and it drove really nice
Engine light is out after clearing all codes and getting a repeat of the map sensor fault code...cleared the map sensor code again and it stayed out.
The ECU fault has disappeared now too!
Big question now is what do I do with the car? I now have 3 cars, including the 508, Twingo, and the 406 HPi Estate!

Good work on the 406, I fear it won't be 'valued' enough to get a decent price selling it as no-one understands what it is?
The Twingo should sell quickly I think, how do you like the high seating position?

Good result with the 406.
As Welly says, it may be difficult to sell even though there can't be may left now.
