Leaking Rad

Post by Nandad »

Does anyone know just where I can get a bottom rad hose for my 98 2.0 turbo. Leaking from spring clip joint. No longer stocked by the main agent, none at my local scrappies. Any help very gratefully accepted
Thanks

I'm afraid stuff like rad hoses on D8s (and some on D9s already) are becoming unobtainium. Unless you have some luck with pattern parts, owners are having to find a similar PSA hose with the right connection, chop it to length and join it to the existing plumbing with a jubilee (worm drive) clip.

Thanks for imfo. Any idea which pipe? On closer inspection the hose is leaking from the junction betwee pipe and rad. Haynes shows an o ring. I am going to try to replace that first before taking a hacksaw to new pipe.

I guess it would involve a trip around a breaker's yard with a tape measure :(

Hope a new seal does the job!
