I am not quite sure if it is but a belt is making a constant squeaking noise every time I turn the wheel of even sometimes at idle. What can I do other that replace the belt to fix it. Thanks

If it squeals when under load its probably not tight enough, you can check if its that by squirting some water on it, that will stop it squealing but probably make it slip.

It will probably need replacement soon anyway so I just used some wd40 on it just until I can get the parts and replaced it. It is only squeeking when I turn the wheel.

Yep, sounds like its slipping under load, it may need tensioning but if it looks shiny it needs replacing.

I would check the tensioner as well as the belt....theoretically the belt should not be slack as the tensioner should automatically tension the belt.
One thing I'm finding just now in my area is that these "road dressing" tiny stones are getting into the grooves of belts and causing noise....tiny fragments scraping on the belts.

Thanks for the suggestions but the engine overheated on the way home from work today, I believe that the light brown haze on the inside of the oil cape suggests that the head gasket has blown. I am actually pretty upset to say this but I am selling it right here and not taking it back to the UK as I had intended at the end of this year. 407 anyone? At least I still have my 110 estate back home.
