So I finally decide to do my first oil change on my. 406 D8 1.9dt.
Read the Haynes manual and the advice on here and th n set to work
Jacked up the car and got the spanner set out and lo there were two sump plugs one above the other on getting back of the sump....the Haynes manual only shows one....but yes service box does show two ...
Anyway naturally I decide to work on the lower one to undo as that will enable all the oil to flow out...but it won't budge even after using penetrating fluid...so reluctantly d code to remove the upper plug without any problem and complete the pile change....
Does anyone have any insight why the two sump plugs and which should be undone for an oil change...or why the lower sump plug does not undo?
Thanks
Doug
