I went through water this morning it was unavoidable as the road was flooded, the engine is poorly now and white smoke comming out, what is the fix for this? is there one?

No quick fixes I'm afraid, I think you'd need a time machine...

I guess it depends how far the water got: air filter turned to paper mache blocking things up; cold water hitting the hot turbo - nasty; water doesn't compress too well so you may have a bent conrod or 4... You'll just have to investigate - good luck!

Unfortunately it is all too easy to take-in water on these cars as the air intake is very low.

Start by removing the air filter as this will be soaked and see if it runs better then. If water has entered the cylinder(s) and has been compressed enough then it can 'hydrolock' and damage the con-rods/pistons rings.

If it's petrol then remove the spark plugs FIRST before you start cranking it to blow out any excess water (if it's diesel you might have to remove the glow plugs but soak them really well in WD40 as they can snap off in the head).

The smoke you saw might just have been the water burning off through the exhaust.

Hopefully it will recover from this.
