power loss, weird
hi all, for the past week had a problem with vacuum leak and brakes beeing hard and weak, that indicated servo is gone, so after few tricky hours servo been replaced now and car tested. Brakes now superb and very responsive, but another problem occurred, vacuum still leaks and car gets into limp mode but very different(not as limp mode) as soon it reaches 2000 rmp power instunt cuts off, cars slowing like you would press brakes, but then while you keeping foot on acceleratos and slowly reach about 2700rpm it pick up again and its like that in all gears except 1st. What could cause that?
i have checked all piping connectors they have been put back as they should after changing servo. any ideas where i should start looking? thanks

ive seen this happen before,
yours might not be the same fault but worth a check,
have alook if your car as two switches fitted above the brake pedal,
if one of them goes down it cuts the fuel to the ecu and brings up the engine management light

thanks, have checked the switch seems in place, need to test, my gues was afm or throttle postion sensor as suggested, will swop that first see if makes any diffrence, will update

just swoped afm and throttle sensor, and its like this now: when it reach 2100 rpm its like fuel cuts off nothing happening for about 10 sec. rpm stays around 2100 mark while keeping foot down and then it picks up as normal pulls ok, no management light, what it could be?

no, its not stuck
, when front shocks were changed mechanic took off inner wheel arch plastic so im now guesing that he done something with air feed, all i did is disconnected that hose from airbox and off me go, no problemo, havent digged yet to that hose end.

You've disconnected the cold air feed, meaning your airbox is now drawing in warm air from the engine bay, and it can get pretty warm under the bonnet.steven123 wrote:all i did is disconnected that hose from airbox and off me go, no problemo, havent digged yet to that hose end.
If yours is a Coupe, you should look at getting a Nivek ram-air scoop, which moves the location of the cold air feed to the front of the car, and will benefit your car pretty well (even more so if you replace the factory airbox with a BMC Carbon Airbox with enclosed cone filter).
If it's not a Coupe, you will still need to replace the standard cold air feed, or your engine will be breathing in hot air, which is less efficient than cold air, and you could end up down on power as a result (though it is undoubtedly better than having a collapsed air intake duct!) Again, you will be able to put in an after-market cold air feed, not sure where the best place for the cold air feed would be on a saloon/estate though, and Nivek hasn't made a ram-air scoop for the saloon/estate yet. Or you could go the OEM route and put in a replacement Peugeot part for the air intake duct.
