I've got a 2000 hdi and water is leaking from the narrow pipe that runs from header tank to thermostat housing. Took pipe off at thermostat end and steel pipe that comes out of housing has corroded. Has anyone had this problem and is there an easy fix? Thanks in advance.

best way would be to replace the thermostat housing.
you could try bodging it by drilling the outlet pipe out then replaceing with a bit of pipe and arlditing it in.

Rang two different dealers and that's the price they both quoted. Couldn't believe it themselves.

Decided to drill the old one out and araldite new tube in.
8mm drill and managed to do it in situ. So far no leaks and it only cost me £12.
