What gear box oil do I need for my d9 2.2 petrol?

I didn't say I wanted to change it. I want to know what sort I need in case it needs topping up.

You need EP 75W80 gear oil.
Not sure where the level check is on your box (might not have one). You can fill it through the plastic breather on top of the gearbox or through the reverse light switch on top of the gearbox.

Is a 2.2 petrol a BE or an ML? I have a feeling it's a BE and no-one's ever given us any details on fillers or drains on one.
First thing I did when I got my D9. Anyway, it's got no level plug so it was the only safe way of getting the level right.
Even if it's got a level plug it's probably worth just draining it out & filling it up with the required amount, that way you don't have to worry about getting it up in the air totally level.
