does anyone know when you twist the throttle does the icv inside open fast or slow as when i look down mine and rev the engine it opens slow and closes slow, im still having running problems with my engine and it seems like its not getting enough air.

The ICV should close, not open when it's not idling. When you've got your foot on the gas, you're opening the main throttle butterfly which lets a hell of a lot more air through than the ICV
Any problems when running the engine with revs (not at idle) are almost certainly going to be nothing to do with the ICV.

Hey there matey, have you got this running right now? I've almost got together the parts needed to get mine put together. I'm using a xsara vtr base as I couldn't get a 306 cheap enough. I've got the full 406 loom, 306td subframe, hubs, driveshaft, rack. New td clutch, 306hdi box with td fork etc. So as soon as the new welder turns up i can crack on!

Hi no not got this running correctly yet, still running like sh*t from cold start, gets warm and after running for a while the engine gets really boggy when you rev it ( like its running out of fuel) but soon as its cold again itl start up fine but soon go idle like the video. im going to try another coolant temp sensor incase i have the wrong one evan though its new it still could be! heres a decent video of my car idling in which you can hear its idling sh*t

and also tried putting positive part of LED in to plug and a switch comming off the earth to the earth terminal like the same way this works:
