Post by Gary406 »

just done a 10 mile journey in the thick snow,

as i got home the cars fans started going like mad making the car shake like crazy, it was like a vibration that i could feel throughout the car

but the radiator is freezing cold and the fans going like mad , ITS DEFINATELY NOT FROZE ALWAYS HAD ANTI FREEZE IN

today i changed my coolant

what is my problem ? do i have an air lock in the coolant system ?

the car didnt overheat it stayed constant around 75

Thermostat not opening maybe? Are you getting heat in the car?
Also are any of the hoses warming up? It may be the water pump.
I hope it's nothing serious, that'd be horrible sods law after your antifreeze thread :|

Maybe the coolant temp sender for the fans is up the creek, fans running all the time keeping the rad stone cold, shutting the thermostat every time it opens. Pull the fuse on them, that'll shut them up (you'll probably have to kill the air con & keep an eye on the temp gauge...)
