Hi all
Had my spring and CV boot changed yesterday but now my car has developed a momentary squeak its literally when its started and is for about half a second and near impossible to pinpoint could this be the drive belt if any cv grease got on it or is it something more sinister.

Is this starting up or pulling away? Which side was the cv joint and did you need to pull the intermediate bearing off to get to it?

CV boot and spring were both on drivers side but the squeak is only when starting the engine for abou half a second but not when moving or turning the engine off i wasnt sure if the new spring was making any mounts squeak if thats possible

can you still get that belt spray although its a short half second squeak thought if it is a belt could try spraying it on

Can you stick your head under the bonnet and get someone else to start it? (Out of gear...)
Btw my starter motor's making a squeak in this cold weather, I guess the grease on the bendix is going hard...

Yeh tried yesterday but engine is so loud and the squeak is so short its difficult to pinpoint as it is literally when turning the engin over momentarily it just seems weird how its suddenyl started after a coil spring and cv gaitor change might get some wax oyl also and spray the suspension components and strut
