Question about fuel since front end bump

As some of you might know i had a front end bump the other week, and recently ive noticed that the car is using alot more fuel than normal, yesterday I filled the tank with £30 which got it to just below half a tank, now today (55 miles later) im down to a quarter of a tank, now I know for a fact that the car didnt use this much fuel before the bump. And tbh 55 miles on a quarter of a tank is just shocking

As a test tonight i have placed some carboard underneath the engine block to see if there is any signof a fuel leak, can anyone suggest anything what could be causing the increase of fuel usage..

Just to recap I have a S Reg 406 SRI 2ltr turbo (petrol) with 103,000 on the clock

EDIT:
To add more info the front end bump caused the aircan rad to have a decent size bow in it (tbh i cant see how this would cause the fuel usage to go this bad) the aircon has never been charged since ive owned the car and no gas esacped when i had the bump.
The main radiator got replaced with a new one just after the car was purchased, this has a very slight misalignment but nothing to worry about.

Curious!! Where is the intercooler on these? I wonder if the cooler has been damaged and there is a restriction or a leak somewhere causing a rich air/fuel mixture. Still got plenty of power?

yea power is still the same, this is really puzzling me as well

50miles on a quarter of a tank is crap isnt it?

Do you actually believe a Peugeot fuel gauge is telling you the truth? I can park up and gain quarter of a tank overnight.

Just been out in the car

Engine temperature starts at 90 degrees
The fans kick in at about 90 degrees then cool it to about 80 degrees
whilst driving its as low as about 70 degrees

Any ideas?

honestly it wasnt it was a low end slde into the back of someone at 10-15mph while the roads where swimming

the only damage that was behind the front bumper is a bent air-con rad and the plastic surround that holds the 2 front rad fans has got a few cracks in it. the car perfroms fine and when i gave it the beans this morning after finishing work it performed as ive come to expect it to.

but with my half tank ive worked out im going to get around 100miles per half a tank which is not what i normally get, i know for a fact i would normally get around 200mile per half a tank

Heres a link to a few pics just after the accident: http://www.flickr.com/photos/unimatrixero/ (Larger pics at this link)

EDIT: along with the aircon rad being bent (front rad as look over the bonnet), the middle rad (whatever that is has a slight bow in it) and the main rad just broke off its housing.

could the intercooler not be the cause ?

if the air con rad has split could it not kick the a/c pump in to try and up the pressure??
if the ac pump is working all the time that could cause it to use more fuel and be slightly down on power.

im going to get it into a local garage soon so this can be sorted as i cant afford to keep adding fuel into this beast lol

on a side note it doesnt feel down on power at all, but i'll get it into a garage and see what they say :)

thanks for the help and ideas guys
