2.1TD cambelt interval

Post by Captain Jack »

Does anyone know what the timebelt interval is for the 2.1TD engine? It was last replaced at 66k miles and is now at 107k. With my upcoming Eurotrip, that will probably push it up to 110k by the end of September..... :?

Well on the HDi it is every 96000 or 5 years.

On yours I'm not sure but if it was me I wouldnt want to do much more than 60000 or say, 4 years on a Cambelt with normal everyday driving.

I suppose at about 120K yours could be changed, if you can get it done for about ?150.00 it would be worth doing before you go I think.

I used to have a 2.1TD, the interval is 72,000 miles. Always best to get a done a few thousand before though. Best safe than sorry.

Hmm only done about 42k on existing timebelt then. Should be OK for another year or so. Problem is that I think my water pump might be leaking... meh..
