I saw this on ebay, shame it won't work on mine, if anyone buys one let us know how good it is.
406 estate, 2.1TD, I fixed her, then part exchanged her for a Mercedes E300TD Avantgarde Estate.
Hmmmm, straight 6 goodness!

The fact that the advert says ...

This chip has very aggressive ignition timing so higher octane is recommended but not necessary.
... tells me these are generic crap.

Cost just as much to fit a mechanical Bosch pump to the car, then you can tune the nuts off it and run on veg.

ps, for those who don't know about the different fuels, raising the octane levels in a diesel actually slows that car down.
2.1td exec estate.

Dont bother because i did indeed by 1 all in for £40.What can i say apart from total crap.
Now there are a couple of issues that it has, first is that it wont allow you to start the car as it doesnt know the code thats stored in your original eprom chip. But the best thing is thats exactly the same as the original chip and i know this because i have an eprom chip reader and programmer, and there are 0 differences.
So all i can conclude that he thinks the 406 2.1 is 90 bhp and is flogging the 110 versions as an upgrade.(the 2.1 was used in loads of cars)
The outcome for me was i sent the chip back and got a full refund. He even said that it was a problem that he couldnt sort.
