Petrol 2.0 Turbo - Spare pipes and sensors?

I was doing a little fiddling under the bonnet when I came across a non-standard modification. Someone has joined 2 pipes and blocked off another. I also have a sensor which seems to be missing 3 pipes. I've very sure they are all related.
Colour Coded version:
Colours are as follows:
Yellow: Sensor. The cable goes into the ecu box.
Blue: Goes to the throttle area. Connected to Green one.
Green: Feck knows where this goes. It disappears down the back of the engine. Currently connected to Blue.
Red: Goes to the air intake, before turbo, near BOV. They've just blocked off the end.
Ok, questions are:
1. What is the sensor? Is it the MAP?
2. Why have they disconnected the pipes? Should they be reconnected?
Any ideas?

i know what it is but cant remeber what its called lol. its the boost solenoid. on pipe goes to ur throttle body, one the the wastegate actuator and i think the other goes the the ecu

Sounds about right. But why have they done it? I feel like I have tonnes of power, but would rather have it std. Anyone know if this has increased the boost? Or Reduced it? Can't get my head around which it would have done.
Can someone point me to which pipes go where?
Many thanks.
T.

by the looks of it they have bypassed it as you can see the pipes going to the white connector below trace the pipes from the white connector or and see if they go to some sort or boost bleed valve. if they do then thats y you have more power as they have up the boost. going back to standard should be as easy as just pluging the pipes back on to the boost solenoid so it goes back to standard boost. but have alook for other signs of mods as they might or remaped the ecu or fiddled with the fuel pressure to match the upped boost

The white connector is actually a brass connector with a adjustable style bolt on the top. Could well be a bleed valve I guess.
Would explain why it goes like stink I guess. I should probably get it on a rolling road and check the power.

yep thats a bleed valve
green: this if it running and disappearing down the back of your engine its going to the wastegate actuator on the turbo
red(blue): possibly to the ecu this should dissapear inside the engine loom at some point
blue(red): just before the throttle body were the idle control valve is
red and blue could possibly be the other way round
best way to check would be to fit a boost guage and see what it boosts to standard is usally around 8 psi i think

Something with pipes going to it, blocked off and disconnected...
Puts me in mind of an EGR. Do petrols have these?
