Re: antipolution fault
EGR fault perhaps mate, or the DPF is clogged (diesel particulate filter) - these and the cat form the antipollution system.

Re: antipolution fault
If it does have a DPF it'll be the first 2.0 HDi we've seen with one on here
Antipollution fault warnings are pretty general, as someone pointed out a while back they're the main reason behind the engine so they could mean just about anything. Did the car start again? Could be a anything from a leaky injector to a broken timing belt

Re: antipolution fault
whoops there I go again!
So which diesels have the dpf then steve, and why doesnt the 2.0 hdi have one?
my manual mentions a dpf and mines a 2.0, but it could be generalising of course...
Here is a link to a DPF for a 2.0 HDi - but it could be the 16v version? Im confused.

Yeah, it's in the parts catalogue, it's just we've never seen one and assume they weren't sold in the UK. There weren't any 16 valve 2.0HDi 406s either. As far as 406s go DPFs just seem to be inflicted on the 2.2.FlySpeck wrote:Here is a link to a DPF for a 2.0 HDi - but it could be the 16v version? Im confused.
It's either get a forked stick or get the codes read I reckon.
