Anyone know a good mechanic in cardiff area?

Post by cheesemaker »

The 406 has beaten me. Tried in vain to replace the rear drop links, could not bloody get the outer nut loose. Tried tackling the inner joint, and that's just out of reach (haven't got a pit or ramp) what's more annoying, peugeot seems to know which spanner i don't have!!

I'm dejected, does anyone know of a reliable mechanic that's gonna do a fine job without asking for an arm and a leg?

Can't recommend these guys in Bridgend highly enough. Really good work and very reasonable prices. If you go there make sure you tell them you heared about them through me and this forum

I also have a local guy up here in Merthyr that I'd use for stuff like the drop links,

My mate has used this garage for some years now - and he is reasonable in pricing - I also used him to change the cambelt in my Peugeot for £100 including the belt - which was cheaper than i could buy the fitting kit alone -

might be worth giving him a ring for a quote.

I have taken all my cars to this guy in cardiff. he is totally trustworthy and does an excellent job at unbeatable prices! His garage (he is also an authorised MOT tester) is in Beresford Lane, Roath. Tel number 20458008. Beresford lane is just by the Royal Oak pub off Newport road. Can't recommend him highly enough. His name is Ali. Mention Paul if you ring him.

True. It's only while Keith is in business that I'll keep my book stamped, otherwise I'd be doing the servicing myself.

He's the only (local) place I trust to do all the work, and take care of the car better than I would myself.

If I still worked in Bridgend, things would be a lot easier!
