the 406 can tow just over a ton and even if i was towing more, this would mean that everything was working harder so even more likely to switch my fans on but mine never gets hot enough and yes it has got a thermostat and the heater is nice and hot.

What does it mean if you start the car and the fans come on for a couple of minutes, then switch off?

I've never had them come on through normal driving, but this behaviour has started recently (exactly what I needed!)

Air con, cuts them in dosent it ?

is your air con on or off when they cut in?

ye its usually aircon. my mates golf aircon is always ON as default. and his fans spin slowly all the time .
