induction kit
hi could anyone tell me if it safe to put a induction kit on your car as i have heard it can damage your engine on pugs i have a 1.8 d9

Re: induction kit
well they often filter the air less well than the OEM filter, and nearly all of the things result in hot air being taken into the engine reducing performance and economy as well as causing over-fuelling. Ever wonder why they're not fitted to high performance cars?
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

Re: induction kit
ok thanks for that

Re: induction kit
Very minimal increase if any. In some cases, it can be more restrictive than standard. They work best with additional modifications, but with a standard setup nothing noticable, although you will get an increase in induction noise... depends what you want really
