Hello everyone, hope you can help
I have a '97 406 with 1.8 LX with air conditioning, and the alternator belt has snapped off, how do I replace it? Because its snapped I dont know what route it takes round the pulleys and tensioners.
any advice?!!
Hi, this what Autodata have listed.....1.8, 8valve, 97 to 01with air con.......
Top pulley / power steering pulley, down to air con unit, along the bottom to the crankshaft pulley, then around the tensioner, then behind the alternator, then round a guide pulley to the power steering pulley.
This is for the XU7JB (LFX).
I hope this helps, get back for a better version if not.
hello, thanks for the advice - have successfully replaced the belt! Where did you get the info from? I have to replace the throttle cable next ...BTW its a 16 valve but it didnt make any difference to the sequence.
Thanks!!
